Questions about Qwest Fiber in Eden Prairie - probably beefing up their network for their 20/1 offering. They have no plans to do a fiber-to-the-home system and no money to do it if they wanted to.

Lakeville has been considering a publicly owned network - talk to City Hall about their task force that has started investigating the possibilities. If you want something better than cable/dsl - that is a Minnesotan's best chance.

Finally, WiMAX has been oversold. Consider the physics of offering thousands of people fast connections from a single antenna. What kind of a connection would that antenna have to have to offer 10Mbps to 5,000 people?
