Hosts: Steve Borsch, Tim Elliott, Garrick Van Buren, Phil Wilson
One of the most enjoyable venues for getting connected with the Minnesota tech community is at MinneDemo. Taking nothing away from previous startups who’ve showcased their wares, each event has learned what works and what doesn’t, and this event Wednesday, November 12th is going to be the best one yet!
Begun by Luke Francl, Ben Edwards, and Dan Grigsby, Luke and Ben have carried the effort forward and we were delighted to have Luke on the podcast to discuss the event and to go through the companies that will present in four days.
MinneDemo brings together entrepreneurs, investors, software developers, designers, and other techies for a night of short demos and long conversations. Founded in 2006, this is the fifth MinneDemo event. It will be held at Intermedia Arts, 2822 Lyndale Ave. S. in south Minneapolis (map). Pre-networking begins at 6:30 pm, and the demos start at 7:00.
Mentioned on the podcast:
- David Allen’s Getting Things Done (GTD) system
- Minnov8 posts on Enleiten (and a cross-post here at GTDTimes) and OnePlace (and a cross-post here at GTDTimes)

Nice job on getting MinneDemo organized, Luke.
We’re really looking forward to demoing Bannerflow on Wednesday. As the Minnov8 Gang mentions in the podcast, all of the demos look great.
Thanks a lot for the mention of Bannerflow on the podcast, Gang! Quick note: Bannerflow isn’t built to actually host/serve the ads once they’re approved. We took a look at the page mentioned; it was a _little_ ambiguous.
We’ve updated to be more clear:

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the event, and doing some damage to those kegs of Surly.

(P.S. Last name is pronounced “boo” + “chalk”. It’s a rarity when someone gets it correct … no worries!)

Thanks for the chance to talk with you on the Minnov8 podcast, it was fun.
I’m looking forward to a great turnout and a lot of great demos on Wednesday!
(And thanks for the name correction, Tom. I’ll make sure to double-check with all the presenters before introducing them.)
