Late Technologist’s Scholarship Fund!
Mobile March pays tribute to Farhan Muhammad and his dedication to learning.
Minneapolis, MN – Mobile March organizers today announced that a large portion of the proceeds from the 2014 Mobile event would be donated to a scholarship fund being created in the name of Farhan Muhammad, local technologist and CEO of ILM who passed away suddenly on March 3, 2014. Mobile March will present a check for $2000 in the name of the local tech entrepreneur who was an early supporter of the annual conference that focuses on Mobile Business, Development, Design and Connected Devices. This year’s event was held Thursday, March 20th, 2014 at the Earle Brown Heritage Center in the Minneapolis.
“Farhan was someone who I respected as a great technologist, visionary and friend,” said Mobile March Co- founder Justin Grammens. “His generous personal and financial support of Mobile March early on has had a positive impact on our conference and has helped get us to where we are today.” Mobile March’s Phil Wilson noted, “We’ve always considered Mobile March a place where members of the Minnesota mobile community can learn from each other. Farhan was quite passionate about learning, teaching and sharing knowledge within that communit. It makes total sense to donate to a scholarship in his name.”

He founded ILM Professional Services in 2002 with the focus on the emerging Microsoft .Net platform, adding technologies, including mobile, as the company grew. “He had an entrepreneurial spirit and was one of the kindest individuals I personally have ever met,” said James Dietrich in a statement. “He was passionate about technology and he will be missed greatly by all who knew him.”
